It’s typical to think that only incidents such as fire, burglary, assault, rape, road traffic accident, disfigurement, loss of sight, or redundancy are serious enough to justify seeking help.

However, overwhelming emotions and behaviour that is out of character can be brought about with the loss of house keys, or a favourite possession.

A current trauma can have unconscious links with other significant experiences in your life, and it is often these deeper and unresolved issues that are the focus of the therapy.
