Supervision

Gill_Rock_BACP_Senior_Accredited_SupervisorSupervisees I work with are equally divided between individual therapists in private practice & those that are team members, working in larger groups & settings.

Strong Reputation
My reputation is solid amongst my peer group and within the local health community of Brighton & Hove. As a qualified Clinical Supervisor I offer supervisees the additional benefit of an approach that’s further supported by established theory, which is particularly important at times when ethical dilemmas surface in the client/therapist relationship. I am known for my interest in working with bereavement and loss.

NHS & Private Practice
I started my private practice over 20 years ago and to counterbalance the experience of working as a lone practitioner, I simultaneously worked part time as a therapist and supervisor in the NHS Adult Psychology Team of Sussex Partnership for over 13 years.

I’ve built up a broad knowledge and experience from my own collection of cases as well as enhancing my skills by working within a team of specialist therapists and psychologists in the NHS, many of whom I also supervised.

My favored theoretical backdrop stems from a psychodynamic perspective and I draw on other theories and approaches when I feel they particularly harmonize with specific pieces of work, or particular clients.

Organizations I have provided supervision for
NHS Adult Psychology  •  NHS Primary Care  •  NHS Renal Unit  •  Terrence Higgins Trust
Patcham House School  •  Survivors Network  •  St Catherine’s Hospice  •  St Barnabas House Hospice

Your Specific Supervision Needs - we’ll discuss these as part of our initial meeting, along with the practical arrangements of fees and frequency of contact.

Supervision for non-therapeutic professionals - there is an increasing demand for supervision in non-therapeutic settings, such as schools, colleges and business and I  offer a tailored service to meet your organisation’s needs.
